More CERN and Crozet

The Atlas visitor center at CERN. Atlas is one of the four huge detectors on the LHC. The actual machine is twice the size of the ibuilding, 100 meters underground. The other detectors (ALICE, CMS and LHCb) are spaced out along the ring, which is about 15 miles in diameter.

More CERN buildings by ATLAS.

The entrance to the Meyrin site (CERN) where I was mostly located (across the street from ATLAS).

Took a little walk through the village of Crozet.

I think the mountain in the center of this next picture, off in the distance, is Mount Blanc. Mount Blanc is the largest mountain in Europe. We are supposed to stay there on Sunday night. Patti will take some fabulous photos I'm sure.

More pictures of the rainbow I saw when I got back to the hotel.

That's all for now! Patti is here taking a little nap before we head into Geneva.
