More Geneva, Mt Blanc, Italy

We headed to the Geneva waterfront, and Patti was ready with her camera.

We walked up into the old part of town looking for a particular lunch spot (which we didn't find).

Had lunch at a spaghetti place.

We were joined by a friend. Later on realized he (or she) left a little memento on the back of my shirt.

After a satisfying lunch of penne and bolognese washed down wiith a Corona. I think I didn't know about the bird doo doo on my shirt yet.

Back down to the waterfront - the flower clock.

My bride standing at the water with the alps in the distance.
 More waterfront shots.

 Nice butt!

The Jet D'eau was not running when we got there for some reason. Here it is capped off.

Back at our hotel. Leaving for Italy in the morning!

 Looking back toward Geneva.

Saturday morning we head down toward Mt Blanc, through the tunnel into Italy, and stay a night in the town of Neive in the middle of the Piedmont wine region.

On our way through the French countryside toward the Mt Blanc tunnel.

90 minute wait to get into the tunnel. Here I am displaying extreme patience.

Weather was rainy on the French side. When you come out of the tunnel, you are in the Italian alps! Sun was shining. Here are some shots right outside the tunnel and along the road to our destination in Neive, Italy.

Here we are at the hotel, in the middle of the Piedmont wine region. Don't know that I have seen more spectacular scenery.

The view outside our window.

Walking into Neive.

In the village we sat for a drink in cafe.

The proprietor brought us some snacks.

A hummingbird. Patti loves birds and flowers.

Where we had dinner.

The view out our window at night. Churches and castles.
